Terms of service

Adding the bot to a server, or using its commands, means you accept what follows. If you do not, please remove it.

What this is

A free Discord bot that reads ebook files so people can read them inside Discord. It is offered as it stands, with no promise that it will be available, correct, or suited to whatever you want from it.

What you upload

Every file you shelve or preview is yours to answer for, and uploading one means you have the right to it.

  • Do not upload work you do not own or have permission to hold.
  • Do not use the bot to pass infringing copies to other people.
  • Do not upload files protected by digital rights management. The bot does not strip that protection, and you should not try to work around it either.
  • Do not upload unlawful material, or material meant to harass anyone.

Whoever shelves a book answers for it. Server moderators can take books off their own server's shelf.

Using it properly

Do not overload the service, disrupt it, or reach for parts of it you have not been given access to. Do not use it in any way that breaks Discord's own terms or community guidelines.

Availability

The service runs on free and low cost hosting. It may be slow, down, changed or stopped for good without warning, and data in it may be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you would miss.

Removal and complaints

Content may be removed and access blocked where these terms are broken, or where a credible complaint arrives. Complaints, copyright ones included, go to blanks00 on Discord.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service comes with no warranty of any kind, and no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from its use, including the loss of uploaded content or reading history.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top shows when they last did, and carrying on using the bot means accepting the version that is up.
